Nails of the Month – December 2014 & January 2015

Nails of the Month

December 2014 & January 2015

Okay, this is combined post for my manicures from December 2014 and 2015. I’ve had to take an unplanned break from my blog due to ongoing computer and internet problems. I had a load of end of the year posts planned, but then my computer played up and I lost everything, including all my photos and drafts and lists of how many nail varnishes I’d used in 2014, which one had now featured on my blog etc and I just haven’t had the time to redo any of them. 2015 is going to be an incredibly busy year for me, so I’m probably only going to be posting one a week or once a fortnight for now. But on to the nail varnish. I don’t have photos for many of these as unfortunately they all got deleted and those I do have are pretty bad ones took on my mobile, but they’re better than nothing right?

So firstly, back at the beginning of December I wore Dollish Polish’s These Aren’t The Droids You’re Looking For over Barry M’s Gold Foil.

Nails of the Month – November 2014

Nails of the Month

November 2014

So, once again I’ve worn quite a lot of nail varnish this month. Once again mostly thanks to my peel off basecoat.

The first nail varnish I wore was Lac Attack’s Beauxbatons Academy, one of my all time favourite nail varnishes. You can see my review of it by clicking here.

Nails of the Month – October 2014

Nails of the Month

October 2014

I have worn so much nail varnish this month! This is partly due to getting the Makeup Academy Peel Off Basecoat (you can see my review on it here) which has meant that I have had time to change my nail varnish after work on an evening. (I am rarely in the house before 6.30 on an evening and leave the house around 7 the next morning).

The first nail varnish I wore this month was Glisten & Glow’s Dancing On Star Dust, a stunning micro glitter.

Nail Art – The Ryder Cup 2014

Nail Art

The Ryder Cup 2014

So once again it is Ryder Cup year and I’m so excited! I can’t wait to cheer on Europe in front of the TV for the next three days. I doubt it’ll be anywhere near as tense as last time though. By the end of the 2012 Ryder Cup I barely had any of the nail art design I had created left on my nails, I’d picked it all of due to nerves! You can see that nail art design by clicking here. I did debate doing golf courses again, but for this Ryder Cup I decided I wanted to come up with a different design, this time with a strong blue theme. So this is what I’ve created.

Nail Varnish Review – Wynie H011

Nail Varnish Review

Wynie – H011

This is one of several nail varnishes I bought while on holiday in Portugal. And although I bought plenty, I really wish I had bought more, especially from this brand, because they are amazing. Every single nail varnish I bought in Portugal was €1, which with the exchange rate is less than £1 per nail varnish. This one is from a brand called Wynie (at least that’s what it says on the bottle) and is in the shade H011.

Nails of the Month – August 2014

Nails of the Month

August 2014

The first nail varnish I wore this month is one of my new one’s and is Dollish Polish’s One Lifetime With You. You can see it in my haul post here. I am totally in love with this colour and it won’t be long before I wear it again.

Wynie Haul – July 2014

Wynie Haul

July 2014

So, I may have done a lot of nail varnish shopping while I was on holiday in Portugal in July, something which I didn’t expect when I went. But all the nail varnishes were only €1 each, so I ended up coming home with 23 new nail varnishes… oops? So that’s €23 I spent, which google’s handy converter tells me is £18.39, which isn’t bad at all for 23 nail varnishes. I got a couple of different brands and I’m going to do a separate haul post for each brand. So all of these nail varnishes are from a brand called Wynie. They don’t appear to have names, just numbers. I only got four from this brand but now that I’ve got them home and swatched them, I wish I had got more because I am seriously in love with them. The other brands I bought from were Leticia Well (see haul post here), Lovely Girl (see haul post here) and Yes Love (see haul post here).

This first one is the shade H011 and is a lovely red colour. I’m not sure what drew me to this when I was in the store, but something did. I’m not usually a huge red nail varnish wearer. When I bought it I thought it was a crème nail varnish, which made it even stranger for me to be drawn to it. But when I swatched it, it does have a very fine hot pink shimmer throughout it, which makes it simply glow on the nail. I like this so much that once I had finished swatching the others I put this back on to wear it. You can read my review on this nail varnish by clicking here.
