Nail Varnishes That Haven’t Featured On My Blog
As of April 2014
So, I was sorting through my (extensive) nail varnish collection the other day and ended up compiling a list of nail varnishes I have that have never featured on my blog. This means they haven’t been named in any Nails of the Month, Nail of the Day, Nail of the Week, Nail Art or Top Five posts. I haven’t used my nail varnish collection series posts in this as these only contain bottle shots and I haven’t actually used the nail varnishes for those posts.
I’m really enjoying working my way through my list of Products I Want To Finish In 2014 and I decided I wanted to do something similar with my nail varnishes. I have over 100 nail varnishes in my collection which haven’t featured on my blog, but considering the size of my nail varnish collection and looking at it percentage wise, it’s actually not all that many in the grand scheme of things. And just because they haven’t featured on my blog does not mean that they haven’t been used. Many of them I will have worn on my toes, or they have featured in nail art but if I haven’t done a specific post for that nail art look then they may not have been named in the subsequent Nails of the Month post and some pre-date my blog and have been used extensively before I started blogging.
Nails of the Month
The first look I wore in December was this Christmas Tree Lights nail art design. The base colour I used was Essie’s Mojito Madness. For the electrical cord I used A-England’s Camelot and for the colourful lights I used H&M’s Lime, H&M’s Summer Sunrise, H&M’s Pale Violet, H&M’s Nail Him, Sinful Colors’ Misty Red and Natural Collection’s Hibiscus.
Doctor Who – The Time of the Doctor
Matt Smith’s Last Episode as the Doctor
Christmas Day 2013
So, if you saw my Nail Art post for the 50th Anniversary programme, then you know I’m a huge Doctor Who fan. So, I wasn’t going to let Matt Smith’s last episode as the Doctor pass without some nail art. So this is the design I came up with. I wasn’t completely happy with how this came out but I was short on time and it is fairly decent (otherwise I wouldn’t be sharing it!).
Top Five Nail Varnishes
As Of Winter 2013
So next up in my Top Five Nail Varnishes series is Light Blue nail varnishes. You can see the previous posts in this series by clicking here. I love blue nail varnish and I really couldn’t pick out just five blue nail varnishes so I’ve split the colour into lights and darks.
In Fifth Place is Zoya’s Blu. This is a very white based light blue nail varnish and is probably the lightest blue I own. The formula is slightly thick so you have to be careful with application but it does cover fully with two coats.
Nails of the Month
The first nail varnish was Zoya’s Nikki. This is one of my newest Zoya nail varnishes but I can easily seeing it becoming one of my favourites. I used Sephora by OPI’s Looks Like Rain, Dear to create an accent nail.
Nail Varnish Review
Ozotic – 915 Scatter
Just my thoughts from when I wore this nail varnish the other week. I wouldn’t really call it a review as such but more the story of how I came to own this nail varnish.
Nails of the Month
How is May over already? We’ll be halfway through the year before we know it and that is super scary!
The first design I wore this month was the only real nail art I done and that was Fruit Nails. The base colour I used was George’s Cloudless Sky. On my thumb I created grapes and the purple I used was Barry M’s Indigo. On my index finger I created lemons and the yellow I used was New York Color In A Minute’s Lexington Yellow. On my middle finger I created oranges and the orange I used was Zoya’s Arizona. On my ring finger I created lines and the green I used was Jessica’s Lime Cooler and on my little finger I created apples and the red I used was Orly’s Poison Apple. On all nails the brown I used to create the stalks was E.l.f’s Smoky Brown and the green I used for the leaves was Collection 2000 Hot Looks’ Ninja.
