Lip Balm Collection
As of Sumer 2015
So I decided it was time to do an updated Lip Balm collection since my last on was in Autumn 2013 and you can click here to see that post. I am still absolutely obsessed with lip balm but I have been making an concentrated effort to try and use some up before buying more, which has kind of worked. You will notice some of the same products from my older post, but I have used quite a few things up, which I’m proud of. So on to what I actually have now.
Warm Me Up For Winter Tag
I saw this tag on Benita’s Blog, Benita’s Beauty Bits and Bobs. I’m so happy Benita is blogging again, I missed her when she wasn’t. You guys should go and check her out. Anyway, this tag looked like so much fun I simply had to have a go at answering the questions myself.
1. What’s your favourite hot chocolate?
This is a hard question! I love hot chocolate during the winter months and I love trying different flavours of hot chocolate. I don’t think I can choose!
Bath Bomb Review
Lush – Northern Lights
This is the first product I’ve used from my most recent Lush haul, You can click here to see that post. And I’m already thinking about repurchasing this product, but I’m currently trying to resist because I have other things I really should use up before buying anything else. I think this bath bomb is designed with Firework Night in mind, which makes me happy, because that’s one of my favourite nights of the year.
I just can’t resist Lush when they bring out their collections for the holidays. So I decided that I had to treat myself to a couple of things.I didn’t go too crazy just yet, but if I try anything that I really like then I will consider buying back ups. None of the Halloween collection really caught my eye this year, but I’m not a big Halloween fan overall anyway. But I love there Christmas stuff and I also got two products which I believe are inspired by Bonfire Night (or Firework Night or Guy Fawkes Night, which ever you want to call it) and that really excites me as it is one of my favourite nights of the year.
Products I’ve Finished
I’ve been trying to use up a lot of kind of summer scented products and things I brought back half used from my holiday and I’ve kind of succeeded. I really want to buy some new stuff for autumn but I’m resisting so far (apart from Bath & Body Works candles because they are amazing and I’ve already spent loads on them and will probably buy more!). But I have so much stuff I want to try and use up at the moment.
So, I’d ran out of two Lush bath products that I always like to have in reserve as I find myself using them over and over again. So, I found myself on the Lush website, and needless to say I didn’t only buy the things I originally wanted. They had their Easter and Mother’s Day limited edition goodies available and I couldn’t resist getting a few to try.
I ended up buying three of the Golden Egg bath bombs. I’d read a load of reviews about this as it looks amazing but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try it due to the cleanup involved due to all the glitter. However the reviews stated that it wasn’t all that bad and I have used one of these and I completely love it, it smells amazing and the cleanup was okay.
Bath Bomb Review
Lush – Ne Worry Pas Bath Bomb
Spring was definitely here a week or two ago, we had some lovely sunny days and dad and I managed to get out walking for the first time this year. And how does this relate to a Bath Bomb Review? Well after walking up Roseberry Topping for the first time this year (and taking my sisters puppy up for the first time) I needed a nice relaxing bath. Even as I write this I am still recovering, my legs are so stiff! The puppy certainly went at a much quicker pace than dad and I are used to!
Bath Melt Review
Lush – Star Light Star Bright Bath Melt
I feel a little bit bad about doing a review on this product now since it was a Christmas limited edition. But I’ve finally got round to using it and I really want to share my thoughts on it. Also, as I’m trying (and succeeding at the moment somehow) to post every other day, I’m going to run out of things to post about if I don’t do the posts on things I’ve used recently.
10 Products I Want To Finish In 2014
So, for the year 2014 I’ve decided that one of my aims (apart from blogging every other day) is to use up several of the products I have which are half used. It seems like much of the shelf space beneath my mirror, which I pretty much use as my dressing table, is cluttered with bottles which are half full. I buy products, enjoy using them, but then buy something else to try and end up abandoning the original product and it’s left to decorate my shelf. So I’ve decided for 2014, I’m going to choose 10 products I want to finish (or hit pan on) this year and then do another post at the end of the year to see if I have been successful. I may also do some more Products I’ve Finished posts to keep track of how I’m getting on. I’m using the period of a year, as some of the products I only use during certain seasons and so I don’t feel too much pressure as I still want to enjoy other products as well. So onto the 10 products I’m going to attempt to use up this year. In many of the photos I’ve tried to take the picture to show how far down the bottle I am. They are in no particular order, but just as I saw them on my shelf really.
Okay, so I let myself go a little crazy on the Lush website a couple of days ago and this fairly large haul is the result! Most of the items I bought are from the Christmas and Halloween 2013 collections, or from the retro collection. I didn’t really need any Lush products, I still have quite a few left from when I last bought from the Lush website in around March/April time. Pretty much most of the Lush products I buy are for the bath, so I’ve made a promise to myself that I will use my Lush products more often. I’m thinking about doing a series of posts entitled something like “Lush Products I’ve Used This Week.” Let me know what you think of that idea. But that’s for another post, for now, let me share with you what I bought from Lush.
