Outfit of the Day
Warm First Night Abroad
Expect a few Outfit of the Day posts from me not that I’m back from Portugal (unfortunately – wish I was still there!). This is my Outfit from the first night we were there, following a long day of travelling.
Zara, Topshop, H&M, Superdrug, Boots and Candy Hero
I have been such a shopaholic recently, which totally isn’t like me, and I have no excuse except that my younger sister is a bad influence when we go out. And as she’s the only sister I have I often can’t resist treating her to a few things, since I’m the one with more disposable income. Although one this trip to York I bought for us in some shops, and she bought for us in others. That’s just the way we end up doing things. A lot of what we bought was makeup once again, and in particular lip products, both my sister and I are obsessed with lip products at the moment!
Starting with Zara, I got this super cute light yellow t-shirt with a picture of a cactus on it and the phrase “I’m Awesome Hug Me”, which I just thought was so cute and I thought the colours in it are perfect for spring! I can’t wait to wear it with some pale jeans and sandals, if only the weather would cooperate! It’s definitely still too cold for sandals here at the moment!
H&M, New Look, Primark, The Body Shop, Boots, Superdrug and Debenhams
I’ve done so much shopping lately, and I don’t really have any excuse, but I thought I’d share what I’ve been buying recently. This is an embarrassingly large haul, but some of it my sister got me for Easter, so I don’t feel too bad, and some things I am classing as essentials. Also, due to my blogging schedule, things are things I bought in April.
Starting with H&M, I got this slightly oversized jumper with black writing and a picture of the Eiffel Tower on it. This was a total bargain at only £5.99 and it is so soft and comfortable.
New Look, Boots, Avon, British Home Stores, Primark and H&M
Once again, as in my last haul post, many of these items have been bought with my holidays in mind. I’m trying not to get too excited too early, but its difficult. I can’t wait to have some time off work! This is the accumulating of several shopping trips with my mum and sister over the course of March, I did not buy this all on one day. But expect a good couple more haul posts from me, I really need to get my holiday wardrobe sorted and I need to do it now, because my wages closer to my holidays I’ll want to use for spending money.
Firstly from New Look I got this lovely casual blue summer dress. I’m nor entirely sure if I will take this away with me or if I will wear it to work this summer.
I’ve watched many YouTube videos when people come back from holiday sharing what they’ve bought when they’ve been away. In the videos I watch people have usually been to America or Australia or Thailand or somewhere, but nope, not me, I’m going to do a haul from Rhodes. So I went on holiday with my mum and sister for a week at the end of October and I thought I’d share what I bought while I was there with you.
Outfit of the Day
Autumn Evening Trip To The Cinema With Mum
This is an old outfit of the day post, which somehow I never got round to posting. It’s from back in November when Mum and I went to see James Bond at the cinema.
I never know what to wear to the cinema, I always seem to get cold and it has been frosty on a night recently. So in the end I ended up wrapping up warm. I wore my favourite pair of skinny jeans from Henry Holland (which can be seen in another of my Outfit of the Day posts both here and here). I wore them tucked into a new pair of boots a friend picked up from Select in the sale for £6 which look identical to her pair from All Saints, which needless to say I’m very happy with!

Autumn Shopping Trip
So today, my mum, younger sister and I went shopping to York, which is a lovely historic city about an hour’s drive from where we live. And it was one of those lovely autumn days which I love. There was a clear bright light blue sky and the sun was shining, but goodness was there a nip in the air, it did feel quite cold this morning. We set off quite early and when we arrived it was probably only about 8°C (about 46°F) although by the time we left it had got up to about 12°C (about 53°F).
I always struggle with what to wear when I go shopping, particularly at this time of year, as I don’t want to wrap up too warm as the shops are always really warm with their heating on, and then outside it’s cold.
York is a pretty big place, so comfortable shoes are a must. I wore what is probably my most worn type of shoes which is my black style ugg boots. They are so comfy, they’re warm and they pretty much go with any outfit I can chuck together. Mine are from River Island, but you can get similar from loads of places. These also featured in my last Outfit of the Day post, to check that out click here.
