Nails of the Month
I have worn so much nail varnish this month! This is partly due to getting the Makeup Academy Peel Off Basecoat (you can see my review on it here) which has meant that I have had time to change my nail varnish after work on an evening. (I am rarely in the house before 6.30 on an evening and leave the house around 7 the next morning).
The first nail varnish I wore this month was Glisten & Glow’s Dancing On Star Dust, a stunning micro glitter.
On the Announcement that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are expecting their second child
If you’ve read my blog for a while, you may remember this nail art design I created when Prince George was born. With the announcement that he will be getting a little brother or sister, I decided that it was a good excuse to do some more nail art. So I came up with this simple look, which you only need to be able to create dots and lines to create.
Rest In Peace Robin Williams
So I, along with so many others, was shocked and saddened to hear of the death of Robin Williams earlier this week. He was an actor who I grew up with and who was in some of my favourite films throughout my childhood. So in honour of his work and to remember the fun times he gave, I came up with a simple nail art look inspired by one of my favourite character’s who he played. The Genie in Aladdin. I’m still trying to figure out if I can come up with any designs for Jumanji, Hook or Mrs Doubtfire nails. Or maybe even Flubber, which was so bad it was good, in a strange sort of way? So anyway, this is a really simple look inspired by the Genie.
So this is a nail art design I did way back in January and it somehow got lost among all my draft posts. I was inspired to do this after watching this years Stargazing Live TV series. I love astronomy anyway and I loved this years series. I started with Zoya’s Dream as my base colour to create the look of a night sky. And then I used my dotting tool and Topshop’s Mesmerise to dot on the stars in each constellation. And finally I topped everything with INM’s Out The Door Northern Lights topcoat in Silver.
Nails of the Month
The first look I wore in December was this Christmas Tree Lights nail art design. The base colour I used was Essie’s Mojito Madness. For the electrical cord I used A-England’s Camelot and for the colourful lights I used H&M’s Lime, H&M’s Summer Sunrise, H&M’s Pale Violet, H&M’s Nail Him, Sinful Colors’ Misty Red and Natural Collection’s Hibiscus.
