Haul – Boots, Zara, Next, Fenwick and Candy Hero

Boots, Zara, Next, Fenwick and Candy Hero

It seems like a while since I’ve done a haul post, but this is the result of a shopping trip with my mum and sister the other week to York. We also went out for a really nice lunch while we were there and had an amazing time. I’m considering doing an Outfit of the Day post from this trip, let me know if you’d be interested. I did buy some Christmas presents, but these are the things I bought for myself. Quite a few of them I am classing as essentials. I think I’ve mentioned before but I’m in need of an entirely new winter wardrobe. I’m down to only two decent pairs of jeans and don’t have many smart casual tops which are decent to be seen in public with, most of the one’s I was wearing last winter are now so worn that they’re relegated to the lazy days spent curled up wearing only zone.

Products I’ve Finished – September 2014

Products I’ve Finished

September 2014

I’ve been on a huge must finish a load of half used up products by the end of the year kick recently and I’ve done really well. The result? This Products I’ve Finished post is going to be epic. I’ve used up so many products this month that I barely know where to start. But I really do need to get through some of the products which are cluttering up my shelf. Mainly because a) it’ll save me money in the run up to Christmas and b) I’ll probably get new products as Christmas gifts. And as you’ll see from this post, I’m still using up last years Christmas gifts!

Haul – H&M, Zara, Superdrug, Boots and Candy Hero

H&M, Zara, Superdrug, Boots and Candy Hero

I took a shopping trip with my mum and sister the other weekend and I bought a couple things. And almost everything is something that I need, I’m trying to use up a lot of products I currently have at the moment and I’m doing really well with it.

But I do pretty much need a complete new winter wardrobe. So firstly from H&M I got a charcoal grey sweatshirt, which will be great for everyday casual wear. And it was only £5.99, a total bargain. They also had it in different colours, so if you’re looking for a sweatshirt I recommend you try H&M.

Dollish Polish Haul – August 2014

Dollish Polish Haul

August 2014

So, I’d heard about Dollish Polish on a load of different blogs and although I really, really wanted to try some of their nail varnishes, I managed to resist, considering how expansive my nail varnish collection is. Then Dollish Polish released their Ultimate Fandom Collection. And I was unable to resist no more, end of story. Although I did manage to narrow it down to buying only four nail varnishes, I wanted a few others, but just went with my four favourites. I bought all of these nail varnishes from Dollish Polish’s website. And I bought what is classed as the mini size, which is 9ml, as opposed to full sized which is 15ml. My Topshop nail varnishes are some of my favourites, and they’re only 8ml, so I figured 9ml was definitely big enough and I wouldn’t really describe them as mini.

This first nail varnish is One Lifetime With You and is inspired by Lord of the Rings. This possibly isn’t the first colour I would imagine when designing a Lord of the Rings nail varnish collection, and believe me, if anyone who makes nail varnish wants to and needs inspiration, then get in touch! But this nail varnish is about Arwen and Aragorn’s love story and is inspired by Arwen’s dress in the film from the scene where she tells Aragorn she would rather spend one lifetime with him then to live forever. This is currently the only one of the four I have worn and it took three thinnish coats to get it completely opaque. It is a lovely lilacy purple colour with different purple and blue micro glitters in it.

Products I’ve Finished

May 2014

Oh my goodness! Things seem to have spiralled out of control this month. I can’t believe how many things I’ve finished, I totally didn’t expect it. I’m certain I didn’t go through as many things before I started blogging. But now I read about so many things I want to try, that I make a concious effort to use up things as well so I don’t end up with loads of half used products. Because I still seem to be buying a lot of things. (A lot of things, I’ve been a total shopaholic recently). But I doubt I’ll have a Products I’ve Finished post as large as this for a while because I have started quite a few new things recently, or repurchases of old favourites.

Firstly, I’ll start with things I use most months. I’ve finished two packets of makeup wipes. The first pack have been my regular ones over the past couple of months from Johnson’s. And the second are from Superdrug’s own Tea Tree range for sensitive skin. These were quite nice and are really affordable so I would purchase them again in a pinch.

Haul – Zara, Topshop, H&M, Superdrug, Boots and Candy Hero – May 2014

Zara, Topshop, H&M, Superdrug, Boots and Candy Hero

May 2014

I have been such a shopaholic recently, which totally isn’t like me, and I have no excuse except that my younger sister is a bad influence when we go out. And as she’s the only sister I have I often can’t resist treating her to a few things, since I’m the one with more disposable income. Although one this trip to York I bought for us in some shops, and she bought for us in others. That’s just the way we end up doing things. A lot of what we bought was makeup once again, and in particular lip products, both my sister and I are obsessed with lip products at the moment!

Starting with Zara, I got this super cute light yellow t-shirt with a picture of a cactus on it and the phrase “I’m Awesome Hug Me”, which I just thought was so cute and I thought the colours in it are perfect for spring! I can’t wait to wear it with some pale jeans and sandals, if only the weather would cooperate! It’s definitely still too cold for sandals here at the moment!

Nail Varnish Review – Lac Attack Padfoot

Nail Varnish Review

Padfoot is from Lac Attack’s new Magical Mischief collection, which is their second collection based on the world of Harry Potter. You’ll know if you’ve read some of my other nail varnish reviews that I love Harry Potter and I think that combining it with one of my other favourite things, nail varnish, is genius. This is the first nail varnish I’ve tried from this newest collection and as with most other Lac Attack nail varnishes I’ve tried, I’m totally in love. You can read my love of the Beauxbatons Academy nail varnish from the previous Harry Potter collection by clicking here.
