Products I’ve Finished
Okay, so this is a collective Products I’ve Finished post from March, April and May 2015. I’m not going to waffle too much here, because there’s rather a lot to get through. I never seem to realise just how much stuff I use until I lay it out in front of me.
Makeup Remover Review
Benefit – They’re Real! Remover
My mum surprised both my sister and I a month or so ago with a tube of the new Benefit They’re Real! Remover. My mum works at Debenhams and therefore can get staff discount on certain items and I think she just really wanted to know what this product is like after hearing so much about it. And neither my sister nor I were going to complain.
What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag?
So, now that I’m back from Portugal (I wish I was still there), I thought I’d do an updated What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag post. My makeup collection has expanded a lot since I done my Spring What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag post from my trip to Paris. And also since I went for two weeks, I took a fairly sizeable chunk of it with me.
For face and eye products I used this sturdy, see through bright green bag, which I got from WH Smith and is technically supposed to be a pencil case, but it worked brilliantly for makeup.

So the last post in my makeup collection series is about all my lip products. This is by far the largest part of my collection. You can see an overview of my Makeup Storage by clicking here and you can see the other parts of my collection series by clicking here. My lip products are stored in the top three compartments of my makeup storage, as shown in the photo below.

The second post in my Makeup Collection series are what I am classing as my eye products. These are all my eyeshadows, mascaras, eyeliners and brow pencils. You can see an overview of my Makeup Storage by clicking here and you can see part one of my Makeup Collection series, my face products, by clicking here. My eye products are kept in the left hand side of the middle row of my Makeup Storage. If you would like any swatches or a review on any of the items then please do let me know and I’ll look into doing that for you.
As of Summer 2014
After doing an overview of my Makeup Storage in this post here, I decided to go a little more in depth and show what I have in my collection as it has grown quite a lot this year, I’ve become a bit of a makeup addict recently. It isn’t going to be really in depth, but I am going to tell you what everything is. If you would like any swatches or a review on any of the items then please do let me know and I’ll look into doing that for you. I’m going to split my Makeup Collection into a series of three posts, one for lip products, one for eye products and one for face products. This is going to be the post for what I am calling face products and is basically all of my primers, foundations, tinted moisturisers, bronzers, powders, concealers and blushes. These occupy the big bottom section of the box I store my makeup up, pictured below.
The Lip Product Addict Tag
The lovely Jacquelyn from thelittlescottishcorner tagged me to do the Lip Product Addict tag and it’s really good timing because recently my sister and I have been lip product crazy and have bought loads when we’ve been out shopping together. I’ve always been something of a lip balm addict (see my lip balm collection post here) but recently I’ve been all about lip colours as well.
So this is my current lip product collection minus one or two lip balms which I couldn’t be bothered retrieving from whichever bag or coat pocket they were in when I took the photo. But now, on to the tag!
What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag?
As of March 2014
I’ve seen several posts floating around recently where people have been sharing what is in their daily makeup bags. Since I’m recently back from a trip to Paris with my mum, I thought I would share what was in my travel makeup bag since most of the things I took are the things I use every day (when I wear makeup, which isn’t everyday usually), with just a couple of extras to change it up occasionally.
Sweater Weather Tag
So this is a tag going around YouTube at the moment, which I just had to do. It’s a bit like an updated version of the I ♥ Autumn Tag from this time last year and I’ve watched so many of the Sweater Weather Tag videos recently. And since I’m English I’ve replaced any references to Fall to Autumn, simply because I’m like that!
1. Favourite candle scent?
Currently it’s Cinnamon Sugared Donut from Bath & Body Works. This is one of the few Bath & Body Works candles I have tried, I bought one off eBay last year after hearing loads about it on YouTube and completely fell in love with the scent so I bought another one this autumn.
Colours of the Rainbow Tag
So, I watched a load of the Colours of the Rainbow Tag videos on YouTube this summer. And I’ve kind of made an early New Year’s Resolution, I want to try and post a lot more regularly on my blog. So I’ve been looking for topics and ideas which I can prepare ahead of time. And one of the things I came up with was to do some of my favourite Tags from YouTube.
Now from watching the videos I get the idea that many American’s are taught to remember the order of the colours of the rainbow by learning the name Roy. G. Biv. Here in England we are usually taught the phrase Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain, and that is certainly the way I remember them. I also really like it about I’m a big history fan and this phrase refers to Richard Duke of York’s defeat at the battle of Wakefield during the War of the Roses in 1460. Richard himself was never King but two of his sons were, Edward IV and Richard III.
It varied from person to person whether they choose a product whose packaging matched the colour or whether they went for the colour of the product itself. I’m going with packaging, it was easier! For some products I also have an honourable mention because it was difficult to just choose one. Also a lot of the videos added in categories for pink and multicoloured. I’m going to do the seven colours of the rainbow, pink, gold, silver, black and white.
