Lip Balm Collection
As of Sumer 2015
So I decided it was time to do an updated Lip Balm collection since my last on was in Autumn 2013 and you can click here to see that post. I am still absolutely obsessed with lip balm but I have been making an concentrated effort to try and use some up before buying more, which has kind of worked. You will notice some of the same products from my older post, but I have used quite a few things up, which I’m proud of. So on to what I actually have now.
Nails of the Month
The first colour I wore this month was Topshop’s Celestial, a favourite of mine from last summer, which I love for winter as well.
Boots and Superdrug
This is just a small, quick Boots and Superdrug haul. I only bought a couple of things, one of my aims this year is to actually use up some of the things I already have, but I wanted to share what I got.
Nails of the Month
December 2014 & January 2015
Okay, this is combined post for my manicures from December 2014 and 2015. I’ve had to take an unplanned break from my blog due to ongoing computer and internet problems. I had a load of end of the year posts planned, but then my computer played up and I lost everything, including all my photos and drafts and lists of how many nail varnishes I’d used in 2014, which one had now featured on my blog etc and I just haven’t had the time to redo any of them. 2015 is going to be an incredibly busy year for me, so I’m probably only going to be posting one a week or once a fortnight for now. But on to the nail varnish. I don’t have photos for many of these as unfortunately they all got deleted and those I do have are pretty bad ones took on my mobile, but they’re better than nothing right?
So firstly, back at the beginning of December I wore Dollish Polish’s These Aren’t The Droids You’re Looking For over Barry M’s Gold Foil.
Nails of the Month
So, once again I’ve worn quite a lot of nail varnish this month. Once again mostly thanks to my peel off basecoat.
The first nail varnish I wore was Lac Attack’s Beauxbatons Academy, one of my all time favourite nail varnishes. You can see my review of it by clicking here.
Nail of the Day
Now, I don’t usually do Nail of the Day posts, instead sticking to my Nails of the Month posts. But I simple couldn’t wait to share this look. I’m calling it either an Autumn Sunset or a Autumn Gradient.
Nail Varnish Review
Barry M – Chai
Barry M’s Chai is from their Gelly Hi-Shine range and is part of their new autumn collection. If you saw this haul post here you will know that I bought the whole collection. I just couldn’t resist.
Nail Varnish Picks
The weather and the season really can influence which nail varnishes I grab for when I’m painting my nails, often times without me even realising it. So I thought I’d share some of my favourite nail varnishes for the winter months. When the weather does turn cold, I find myself reaching for lighter cool toned colours, many of which remind me of frost. As much as I do find myself influenced by the season when choosing my nail varnish, you can of course wear whatever colour you want when you want to. But these are some of my favourite nail varnishes for winter.
First up is Barry M’s Lady, which is a white and silver textured nail varnish. I always wear this with topcoat as I don’t like the textured finish, but this one really does remind me of frost and ice. You can read my review of this nail varnish by clicking here. And in the photo it is shown with topcoat.
Doctor Who – Death In Heaven
Series Eight Finale
So, Peter Capaldi’s first season as The Doctor has now finished and I decided I wanted to create a nail art look for the season’s finale. If you’ve read my blog for a while you’ll know I’m a huge Doctor Who fan and this isn’t the first Doctor Who nail art I’ve created. You can see my other Doctor Who designs here and here.
Barry M Haul
So, I may have gone slightly crazy the other month. I knew I wanted some of the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine autumn nail varnishes but when I saw them all together in the shop, I ended up buying them all. They all just look so pretty together. I love the Gelly Hi-Shine formula and all swatches are of two coats. You could probably get away with one if you done thicker coats, but I tend to do thin coats.
