Leticia Well Haul
So this is the next part of my epic nail varnish haul from when I was on holiday in Portugal. These are all from the brand Leticia Well and from the little bit I’ve been able to find out online they are from the XXL line, which I am assuming is named due to their size. These bottles each contain 20ml, which is huge for a nail varnish. Once again I got four nail varnishes from this brand and I have already worn all but one of them. Indeed, I even wore one of them while I was in Portugal. The other brands I bought nail varnishes from were Wynie (see the haul post here), Lovely Girl (see the haul post here) and Yes Love (see haul post here). Once again, none of these nail varnishes have names, only numbers.
This first colour is in the shade 60. This is a vibrant orange colour, bordering on neon. The formula was a little bit sheer but it was fairly easy to work with and it was completely opaque in three coats.
Outfit of the Day
Dolphin Watching and Cave Exploring Boat Trip on Holiday
The main purpose of this outfit, was mostly about being practical. Towards the end of our holiday in Portugal, my parents and I went on a boat trip Dolphin watching and to see the local caves. We went with a company called Dolphin Driven and if anyone is going to Albufeira in Portugal then I highly recommend them. It was absolutely amazing, but it did present me with a bit of a dilemma about what to wear. While the weather in Portugal was hot while we were there, many days did start out quite overcast and cloudy, but still very warm and muggy, before the sun managed to burn through the cloud, and sometimes this took past midday. There was also a very strong breeze a lot of the time, which made it quite deceiving how warm it was at times.
So every year my family goes to the big race meeting at York for one day, the Ebor festival. And this year I decided it was the perfect excuse to do some bright coloured nail art, before I start getting into all the darker autumn and winter colours. The jerseys the jockeys wear offer endless possibilities for nail art and as long as you can create lines and dots, you could create this look. It can be very much mix and match, put whatever colours you want together, with whatever pattern you want. But this is how I created this look.
My First Mac Lipstick
This is a really quick post because I’m so excited! I am now the owner of a Mac lipstick. And I just have to share how happy I am!
Lovely Girl Haul
So this is another part of my nail varnish haul from Portugal. These nail varnishes are from a brand called Lovely Girl and again they don’t seem to have names, just numbers. I only got four from this brand, but if we’d had the weight in the suitcases and I’d swatched them while we were there, I would have got more! The other brands I bought from are Wynie (see haul post here), Leticia Well (see haul post here) and Yes Love (see haul post here).
This first nail varnish is in the shade 1704. This is a sheer, jelly type varnish, but is completely opaque with around three coats. It is an orangey colour, with very strong red under tones. This was one I was tempted to put back on once I’d finished doing my swatches. I’m quite curious to see how it works in jelly sandwich manicures as well.
15 Things I Wouldn’t Wear Tag
I was tagged by the lovely Clare to do this tag (go and check out her blog if you haven’t already) back when I was on holiday in Portugal, so it’s took a while for me to get round to going this. Now these are just 15 things that I personally wear, it’s just a bit of fun. I’ve read a load of these posts and they aren’t meant to be taken personally, I’ve seen some things on posts I’ve read which I west fairly often, but if that’s something someone else wouldn’t wear, well that’s up to them. And if you see something on my list that you do wear, don’t let me stop you! This is just my personal opinion and these are 15 things that I won’t wear.
1. Toe-post shoes
I hate the feeling of having anything between my toes. Just, ugh! I only have one pair of flip flops for the beach which are really soft and I still struggle to get them on.
What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag?
So, now that I’m back from Portugal (I wish I was still there), I thought I’d do an updated What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag post. My makeup collection has expanded a lot since I done my Spring What’s In My Travel Makeup Bag post from my trip to Paris. And also since I went for two weeks, I took a fairly sizeable chunk of it with me.
For face and eye products I used this sturdy, see through bright green bag, which I got from WH Smith and is technically supposed to be a pencil case, but it worked brilliantly for makeup.
