So, I’d ran out of two Lush bath products that I always like to have in reserve as I find myself using them over and over again. So, I found myself on the Lush website, and needless to say I didn’t only buy the things I originally wanted. They had their Easter and Mother’s Day limited edition goodies available and I couldn’t resist getting a few to try.
I ended up buying three of the Golden Egg bath bombs. I’d read a load of reviews about this as it looks amazing but I wasn’t sure if I wanted to try it due to the cleanup involved due to all the glitter. However the reviews stated that it wasn’t all that bad and I have used one of these and I completely love it, it smells amazing and the cleanup was okay.
Nail Varnishes That Haven’t Featured On My Blog
As of April 2014
So, I was sorting through my (extensive) nail varnish collection the other day and ended up compiling a list of nail varnishes I have that have never featured on my blog. This means they haven’t been named in any Nails of the Month, Nail of the Day, Nail of the Week, Nail Art or Top Five posts. I haven’t used my nail varnish collection series posts in this as these only contain bottle shots and I haven’t actually used the nail varnishes for those posts.
I’m really enjoying working my way through my list of Products I Want To Finish In 2014 and I decided I wanted to do something similar with my nail varnishes. I have over 100 nail varnishes in my collection which haven’t featured on my blog, but considering the size of my nail varnish collection and looking at it percentage wise, it’s actually not all that many in the grand scheme of things. And just because they haven’t featured on my blog does not mean that they haven’t been used. Many of them I will have worn on my toes, or they have featured in nail art but if I haven’t done a specific post for that nail art look then they may not have been named in the subsequent Nails of the Month post and some pre-date my blog and have been used extensively before I started blogging.
Nail Varnish Picks
As soon as March hit, I totally started wearing what I would class as spring nail varnishes. Although I do pretty much wear whatever colour I want at any time of year, but there are certain colours that I do just seem to wear at certain times of year. So I thought I’d share some of my favourite nail varnishes for Spring with you.
Nail Varnish Collection
As Of Spring 2014
Next up in my nail varnish collection series are my nail varnishes from Illamasqua. You can see all the other posts in my Nail Varnish Collection series by clicking here. I love Illamasqua nail varnishes but they are expensive. However I have only ever bought one Illamasqua nail varnish at full price. The rest I have bought off their website during sales and got a lot of them for £5 each and I’ve bought a couple off eBay. I like the bottle shape, however it annoys me when I can’t get the square lid lined up perfectly with the bottle when I put the lid back on.
River Island, Accessorize, H&M, Next, Topshop, Superdrug and Boots
Despite the shops named in this haul, you might be surprised to find that it is mostly a Spring makeup haul. There are a couple of other things as well, but the majority is makeup. I pretty much wear the same makeup everyday when I am wearing it, but I’ve wanted to change it up a little bit for Spring recently, so I’ve treated myself to a couple of new lip products and some blushes among other things. These were gathered over a couple of trips with my mum and sister when we had a couple of days off work together.
10 Beauty Mistakes I Used To Make Tag
I was tagged by the lovely Brittany over at The Beauty Deputy to do this tag. If you haven’t seen her blog, then you need to go and check her out right now. She is amazing (and has the cutest dog and cat!). I was so excited that she tagged me, I couldn’t believe she’d think of me when choosing people to tag, I love reading her blog! And as she points out in her post, it’s quite nice to look back at how far we’ve all come. But we are all only human, so here are ten beauty mistakes I’ve made in the past. I’ve separated it into three categories, nails, makeup and hair.
If you’ve read any of my recent blog posts then you may be aware I took a trip to Paris recently, it was definitely mentioned in passing a couple of times. And although it was much more of a sight seeing and spending time with my mum trip than a shopping trip I did pick up a handful of things that I want to share. All of these things were bought from little tourist shops near our hotel, we were about a five to ten minute walk from Notre Dame Cathedral, which is amazing, may I add.
