Top Five Nail Varnishes
As of Summer 2013
So this is my second “top five” post, I’ve previously completed my OPI Top Five. This top five was quite difficult to decide as I own so many Barry M nail varnishes and I really do love them. They are super affordable and really accessible here in England. And I very rarely have issues with there formula and they’re usually right on trend. I really had to think about which ones I would class as my favourites. So, without further ado, here are my favourite five Barry M nail varnishes, in reverse order.
In Fifth Place is SLE2103B. This is a limited edition varnish realised this summer and should still be available at Superdrug stores. I thought long and hard about including it in my top five because it is so new to my collection but I am completely in love with this nail varnish and am about a quarter of the way down the bottle already. It places fifth because it is so new. It is a bright lime neon green with a jelly like formula, which looks so shiny on the nails. Every time I’ve worn it I’ve received compliments and to be able to get a look like this from a nail varnish which is so reasonably priced is amazing.
The Nail Wheel of Fortune
So for the month if July, in an effort to wear some of my less used nail varnishes, I resurrected my Nail Wheel if Fortune idea, where I have been randomly picking a nail varnish to wear, click here to see the inspiration behind the idea and here to see the first month. The exception to this rule is when I decided to do nail art, which happened on a couple of occasions this month. I also tried to change my nail varnish at least every other day.
The first colour I randomly picked was Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear’s Crushed, which is a lovely metallic orange colour.

So I’ve decided to do what I’m calling a “top five” series of posts. In these posts I’ll show my top five varnishes in a certain category either brand, colour or finish. And the first category I’m doing is OPI.I wouldn’t class OPI as my favourite brand of nail varnish, but I do own quite a few. I didn’t feel like I had enough of some brands to do a top ten, which is why I’m doing a top five.
So, in reverse order, these are my favourite five OPI nail varnishes.
In Fifth Place is Skull and Glossbones. This nail varnish is from the Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides collection. It is just a perfect light grey crème colour, which isn’t too dark.
