Nails of the Month
I haven’t worn all that many different nail colours and designs, as towards the end of the month especially, I’ve been really busy.
The first colour I used this month was A-England’s Order of the Garter and I created an accent nail with China Glaze’s I’m Not Lion from their On Safari collection. I think Order of the Garter is a lovely blue colour and that I’m Not Lion just gives it that bit of sparkle. You can read my review on Order of the Garter by clicking here.
The next colour I used was Essie’s Head Mistress which has been one of my all time favourite colours this autumn and I used an accent nail again, using Dorian Gray from A-England’s new Gothic Beauties collection.
The only real nail art I done this month was to create a Fishtail design on my nails and the nail varnishes I used to create this look were Topshop’s World’s End, Essie’s Watermelon and Butter London’s Lillibet’s Jubilee.
For the next look I just painted all my nails one colour and that was an Ozotic nail varnish in shade 515. This was used in one of my Outfit of the Day posts, click here to see that.
I just wanted a really clean, subtle and polished look when I next painted my nail, so I used Zoya’s Stephanie. This is also a nail varnish I have been reaching for a lot recently, and although it can take four or five coats to get the colour as opaque as I want it I think it is well worth it. I can tell how much I love this nail varnish by how far down the bottle I am.
This look combines China Glaze’s Agro from their Hunger Games collection and Topshop’s Mesmerise creates the accent nail. This can also be seen in another of my Outfit of the Day posts, click here to see that one.
For the next look I reversed a look I had worn earlier and painted my nails with A-England’s Dorian Gray and used Head Mistress by Essie to create an accent nail. You’ve probably guessed that I like these two colours together. I could have sworn I’d taken a photo of this nail design, but apparently not as I can’t find it anywhere!
And then I got OPI’s Skyfall nail varnishes in the post! The first I used was Moonraker, with an accent nail in Goldeneye. It looked really pretty on the nail, but the formula on Moonraker was awful! I had to practically dab it on and make sure it was completely dry before adding a second coat. And this was also used in another Outfit of the Day post, click here to see it.
Casino Royale is a lovely colour and I particularly like it with an accent nail in OPI’s You Glitter Be Good To Me, which is one of their breast cancer awareness nail varnishes. This looks so pretty in fact that my younger sister saw me wearing it and promptly asked if she could pain her nails the same. At pretty as this looked though, forgot to take a photo of it…
Then I just painted all my nails with The Spy Who Loved Me, again an OPI Skayfall nail varnish, a nice red colour which I wanted to wear as I was going to a Halloween Party. There’s no photo of this one either. I take some but none of them looked good.
And finally I painted my nails with You Only Live Twice from the OPI Skayfall collection and created an accent nail on my thumb and middle finger with Orly’s Mirror Mirror.
On all the nail design’s I am wearing either Collection 2000′s 2 in 1 Base Coat and Ridge Filler with Keratin or A-England’s The Knight basecoat and A-England’s The Shield Top Coat.
